i have always been prone to go for the tailor made/ custom made suit. in cape town, south africa, we have between 6 and 18 deg celcius water. most of the diving community use wet suits. i had mine made by a company called Coral Wetsuits, a local manufacturer. i have 7mm comercial grade neoprene body and legs with 5mm arms and hood for better mobility. i asked for my zip in the fron as i too sometimes get "hot" in the water.
i will never go back to "off the self" suits
