As I begin to fill my dive locker with equipment,I was wondering if someone would suggest a good , front zip, wetsuit...I overheat very easily and the front zip seems a bit easier for me to deal with...Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am pretty new at this. Thanks, Tony

Different manufacures use different cuts so whose ever fits best wins.

My daughter tried on dozens before she found a Bare that fit perfect, my new divebuddy tried on a few before finding a Tilios that fit right. I have 2 medium large Hendersons and a large Oceanic so even the sizing is different between manufactures.

Avoid surf shops, same manufactures but they seem to lack the arm, leg and wrist seals good dive suits have. That being said I did find my beanie in a surf shop, most dive shops want to sell you a hood. I use the beanie over a 2 mil hooded vest so I don’t feel like I am being strangled.

i have always been prone to go for the tailor made/ custom made suit. in cape town, south africa, we have between 6 and 18 deg celcius water. most of the diving community use wet suits. i had mine made by a company called Coral Wetsuits, a local manufacturer. i have 7mm comercial grade neoprene body and legs with 5mm arms and hood for better mobility. i asked for my zip in the fron as i too sometimes get "hot" in the water.

i will never go back to "off the self" suits
