C-cards

Each time you get a "specialty" (ie: deep, wreck, etc.), and go for example as I’m working on my "advanced" and "rescue" certification, do you get a new certification card each time? AND for PADI, does it have your same diver number? or do they issue you a new one? Do SDI c-cards have your photos on them like the PADI cards? Just wondered. Thanks guys!

I’m not sure about PADI, but, with SSI you get a card, however, it’s not a c-card.

Each PADI card has it’s own number except my first, I was "certified" before numbers :)

Each padi card is unique with it’s own number. Just keep your highest rated card in your wallet or purse. No real need to show the other ones unless the boat or dive shop requires it (ie: in the case of advanced dives).

Thanks,

SDI has your picture on it, also they just made available to dive shops the ability for them to print out your dive card once you completed the course. This is really cool to hand your student their card instead of a temp one and have them wait for the one to be mailed to them.

Apply for a replacement card. If you are in the U.S. , you should be able to do this online, otherwise any Padi Centre/Instructor can arrange this for you.

As long as Padi received your original certification or you have proof of your training (logbook or temp cert card), Padi can issue a replacement. If there is no online record, contact Padi by phone as your original record may have been incorrectly entered into the database.
