Mexico? Really? You think that is safe? You couldn’t pay me to visit Mexico with all the violence there. Diving has some inherent risks but being murdered shouldn’t be one of them

Well Noel as with many that was told the Fl. Keys was ruined by BP spill the same ones are scaring you away from Mexico. There is NO violence in Cancun or Cozumel and those are the hot spots for diving. Do not take it to heart what the Media says. They also said Fl. Keys where wiped out by Whelma gosh no one told us that down here we were up and running with beautiful condition 3 days later OOPS CNN do your home is what I am saying.

We dive in Cabo and La Paz, and have never had any problems or felt unsafe.

Well I’m sure there are still some safe places in Mexico but I personally wouldn’t want to risk it. The most dangerous parts are close to ciudad juarez at the moment and no it’s not just being made up or over exaggerated by the media. And Tom, I don’t like to dive the "hot spots". Usually too crowded, usually over-rated and usually too much hand-holding. I would dive cuba if I could, but travel there is restricted at the moment. That would be a great place to dive I think and probably safer than mexico. Noel

Im going to do my own research in terms of the safety of going to Mexico. I didnt realise it could be dangerous thanks for letting me know. Is there more to see in terms of diving in Mexico than Cuba
