Going to Monterey Bay/CA on Friday

Anyone have an idea of what the water temperature at depth is in Monterey Bay?

Surface is easy to Google: 55F at night and 58F during daytime, but how much does it change at depth in the Pacific.

Here in Denmark at my favorite dive spot "Hestehullet" = "Horse hole", which is 97’ / 29 m deep, surface is about 56F too, but only 34F at the bottom.

I guess I’ll just bring my usual Nordic trilaminate drysuit with polar undergarments :-)

Love to get some feedback from anyone out there with local experience!

Kind regards

Michelle

it just depends on where your diving at. Somewhere between 50-55 is normal for 40-60 ft range dive. If you drop to 100ft or less it will drop to around 44-48F degrees. (depending on where you’re at)

But 2 weeks ago while I was diving is was a nice toasty 57F degrees at 41ft! I never had that before in Monterey Bay. :) enjoy your trip!
