DiveBuddy.com Group Trip to North Carolina.

This trip has been canceled...most interested members have something else going on. We’ll have to plan next year’s trip starting now so everyone has time to prepare. Details of this trip will remain listed below for information purposes only:

-We are staying at the Discovery Diving bunk house in Beaufort, NC from Nov. 1st until Nov. 6th (took 2 days off to shorten time and price). (price: $15 a night, $75 for 5 nights)

-We’ll do 3 days of two tank boat dives, gear rental and tanks cost extra, nitrox is available (weather permitting). (price: $330)

-Breakfast and lunch will be provided every day (we will go out to eat or order in for dinners). BYOB. (price: $150)

-Transportation to and from the airport will be included (if you live nearby, just drive yourself). (price: $50)

-Space is available for up to 20 people.

-I’m asking for a total of $600 for this trip (that includes $55 extra to cover anything I’m not thinking of).

If you live nearby and only want to drive and dive with us during the day (no food or lodging), then your cost will be $110 per dive.

Just checked and I’ll be working those dates. Sounds like a good deal though, wish I could make it.

I have dove with Discovery Diving before. They have very experienced Captains and group of Dive Mates. They will not put you on a wreck that they feel you will not get complete satisfaction from. The U-352 is one of the most requested dives, but if there are currents, or poor visibilty they will recommend other dives. We dove the Spar and the Aeolus, which are both about 100ft dives (to the sand) and only a few 100ft apart. It depends alot on what you want to see as well. If you want to see Sand Tigers and Black Tips, then they will recommend certain dives where they are plentiful, but if you want dives with other interests then they will suggest other sights.

The Discovery Diving bunk house was great. There are 3 bunk rooms, and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is small, but will serve your needs. The house is older, but clean. In fact they have just got done redoing in the inside of it.

I think anyone that takes advantage of this trip will enjoy thems

I am returning from a Bermuda trip on 11/2, but maybe I can drive down on the evening of 11/6 since I am in Baltimore and dive with you on the 7th and 8th.

If you shorten the trip on the back end (making it Nov. 1-4) and the price comes down, you can count me in as a definite. Is the weather worthy of a pool that time of year anyway?

I didn’t get to make this trip over the summer and I am very much regretting it!!

What if we shorten the dates a bit and drop the price some? How about November 1st - November 6th? We’ll dive as many days as the weather allows and try to keep the price under $750? Diving each day is $100 by itself (for two tank boat dives, that includes the fuel surcharge). We can stay at the Discovery Diving bunk house for $15 a night! And we can all chip in a little more for the cost of transportation to and from the airport (Charlotte) and food for most meals.

If you live nearby, just drive and stay with us OR just come in for the dives. But we need at least 10 people that want to stay in the bunk house and dive with us to get the group rate. Please RSVP and make the $200 deposit as soon as you can so I can start saving our spots.

I am not sure what Dive shop you are working with, but Olympus Dive Center took good care of us eariler this year. They have a very nice dive lodge for $25.00 a night per diver.

If you live really close and wish to only dive with us and not stay or eat...then I’m sure that would be cool to. Diving will cost us $100 a day (two tank boat dive, includes fuel surcharge, does not include gear). I’m trying to work out a deal with them to include tanks though. But not for sure yet.
