Who’s ready for some great diving with DiveBuddy.com for a great cause? Each year, Divebuddy.com registers several teams for the trashfest and we have so much fun with diving, BBQ and great prizes. It’ll be a fun filled day!

Oh, and may I point out that DiveBuddy.com teams have kicked butt each year with winning the most weight recovered from the river? WooHoo!!

Location: Comal County Fairgrounds in New Braunfels, TX (view directions and map)

Check out prior year photos.

Cost is 48.00 for a team of 8. Only $6.00 p/p which includes a BBQ meal ticket and chances to win prizes! A team member can be a diver or non-diver as we always need atleast 2 people per team on the ground for surface support. The cost per team goes up to 80.00 in a few weeks so let us know ASAP if you’re able to make it out.

Contact is Mike Craig 830-481-6867. He lives in New Braunfels and has been our DiveBuddy Trashfest coordinator for the past years and is full of information and answers. You can also send him a message at his DiveBuddy profile name DrMike.

Schedule for October 1 is:

08:00 AM - 10:00 AM Registration at Comal County Fairgrounds. All team members must be present (with C-Cards) at time of check in and sign the Trashfest Waiver. Meet under the DiveBuddy banner in the parking lot first, then we’ll get everyone together to register.

I’m really looking forward to it! My 11 y.o. daughter will be diving with me and my wife will be cheerleading on the side-lines!

You may be asking.. what exactly is the TrashFest?
TrashFest is the nation’s oldest underwater cleanup campaign bringing together scuba divers from all over Texas, and the USA. To improve the quality of the Comal River in New Braunfels, Texas. The Comal River is the shortest river in the world. The 2.5-mile Comal River is one of the largest springs in Texas with 8 million gallons every hour. The water is pure, clear, and about 73 degrees year round, and attracts thousands of tubers and tourists to a bit of old Germany smack dab in the middle of the Texas Hill Country.
