Volunteers have been working on a program that places "reef balls" in the sand at the dive site. The large groupings of them are located between the shore and the first reef, about 30 yards prior to the reef. They are spheres about 3 feet in diameter with holes in them designed to add to the reef and provide sanctuary for sea life.
