Porto Marie is another expansive beach perfect for relaxing, swimming, or diving. There is a small entry fee, but the money is well spent, maintaining the beach to five-star standards.

Sea life observed included blue tang, cowfish, spotted butterfly fish, shrimp, spiny urchins, pufferfish, octopus, green & spotted morey eels, and a lot of trunkfish. Volunteers have been working on a program that places "reef balls" in the sand at the dive site. The large groupings of them are located between the shore and the first reef, about 30 yards prior to the reef. They are spheres about 3 feet in diameter with holes in them designed to add to the reef and provide sanctuary for sea life.
