This is a great night dive, at night into a cavern loaded with, what looks like millions of catfish. Descend past underwater muck, trees into the entrance. Settle to the bottom, put your light against your chest and wait 3-5 minutes. When you shin your light out you will be completely surrounded by catfish of all sizes.

nkydiver - 9/05/2012 4:02 PM Rating Added: 3 It’s a little hard to find the first time. If you are at the Best Western, swim out from the boat launch and there is a private dock off to the right. Spring is just off the dock and straight down. We use it as a night dive. Send divers in with a buoy just before dark to mark the spot, then bring students and divers in a little at a time. Actual site is pretty small and the shaft to enter the cavern is narrow, definitely one person at time down the shaft, but there is room to explore once you are inside a little bit. It does earn it’s name. Plenty of catfish everywhere you look.
