joe_bird - 5/26/2015 7:51 PM I went scuba diving here on 5/23/2015. Average viz: 16-20ft/5-6m. Water temp: 50-55°F/10-13°C. This was our first dive in the kelp beds and we went with the Lois Ann. Eric and Shelby from them were awesome, I would recommend them and use them again myself. We saw plenty of lobster, crab, plenty of cold water fish, and possibly a giant sea bass (couldn’t make it out because of the vis, but it was certainly one of the biggest fish I’ve ever seen). There was a good surge and some swells every once in a while, but no current or surf. I wore my usual 3 mm full with a 7mm hooded vest for cold water, still pretty chilly at first and on the second dive but it’s bearable

plsrhall - 10/04/2009 2:44 PM Second night of Lobster season went to the Kelp beds. Temp was average of 60 at 37 feet. Water Horse charters was well organized. I did not get any legal lobsters, all short. They were there in the kelp and on the rock formations. Our boat got 8 for the two tanks.
