So last weekend I went out to Monterey for a dive. I hooked up with someone who had something new to offer. Diving Point Lobos is wonderful in itself, but you could always make a good time better.
Someone placed an ad called Mystic SCUBA, in which you’d go meditate before diving. When I dive California, it’s so cold most of the time, that by the time I put all my neoprene on, I’ve worked up some knots in my back. Add to that all the dive weight, and I’m almost hyperventilating before I even touch the water - yes, I’m in shape, and yes, I’m exaggerating a bit, but you get the point. So, it’s nice to do something really calming before getting suited up and in the water. If anyone else is in the area, I definitely recommend it, as it makes you’re bottom time last longer, and the dive more enjoyable. If you’re really comfortable in the water, try meditating under water! That’s different.
