Very interesting to note the Ie usage and them getting more market share. Thanks for sharing this data. I think responsive site will be good enough and no need for yet another native APP !

Not that I am of any assistance or help when it comes to programming but an I phone app would be nice.

Not developing an iPhone app, but I am working on a mobile version. Mobile web apps can do most of what an iPhone app can do now-a-days.

By the way, it’s important to know the devices and web browsers that your visitors are using because you can tailor your website accordingly. For example: Not all web browsers support the same functionality. Different mobile devices have different screen widths. Different search engines have different methods of indexing/ranking your web site. Hopefully this data helps a bit.

Do you have the versions for IE available Greg?
Greg - 7/08/2013 6:00 PM
Its all the same site. No different versions required. Different browsers just mean you have to add special code to make everything look and work correctly.
Eric_R - 7/08/2013 6:04 PM
No iwas wondering if you had the amount of users on IE that are still on version 8 or lower.
Greg - 7/09/2013 6:43 AM
Yes, here are the top 5 versions of Internet Explorer that have been used from Jun 2012 to Jun 2013: IE 9 (49%), IE 8 (34%), IE 10 (9%), IE 7 (8%), IE 6 (.5%)

What gets displayed depends on what your screen size is. This can be changing content size or position to best server the user. Here’s one that I’m working on. Slowly minimize your browser and watch what happens. http://pestlogbook.com

This is called responsive web design. I am doing the same thing for our mobile version...change layout based on screen size.
