I was reading an interesting article in Scuba Living about Wreck Dives and I wanted to get everyone’s opinion. What do you think? Should a wreck, that has confirmed loss of life, be considered a sacred grave site and left alone or is it OK to take souvenirs? I for one believe it is a grave site and should be treated with respect, but are you not respecting the site and honoring the dead by treasuring the items removed from that site?

The general feeling up here is all wrecks should be preserved. If everyone keeps picking at them it will leave nothing for others to look at. I do my best to not even touch them when diving.

I don’t think you should take anything from a wreck unless you discovered it and you abide by all local laws and salvage rights.
