On 06.16.2007 I went on a dive trip with Cape Fear Divers to Shark Tooth Ledge and the Hyde shipwreck. I went with several of my dive buddies and numerous others. The boat was a 50` hawksbill and accommodated 19 divers with no problem. The crew was pleasant and upbeat and they made the trip quite enjoyable. The first 2 dives were at Shark Tooth Ledge. The water was deep crystal blue and the visibility was between 60 and 80 feet. The maximum depth was 105 feet. Several of the divers found megalodon teeth and I some of us found other prehistoric fossil bones (jaw bone, ribs, vertebrae, etc.) It was a beautiful dive. The 3rd dive was at the Hyde Wreck. There was a bit of a strong current there and the visibility was about 30 feet. The maximum depth there was 80 feet on the ocean floor and approximately 55 feet on deck. We encountered a couple of very large Barracuda and plethora of other fish. Even though the visibility was not what we were hoping for, it as still a fun dive. All in all it was a great day. This was my first time diving with Cape Fear Divers and I highly recommend them for a pleasurable dive trip. Dive Safe!
