I have been diving since 1993 in locations in SE Asia (Malaysia and Thailand), Palau, Red Sea, Caribbean (Belize, Bay Islands, Cayman and Saba/St.Kitts) & Hawaii.
I usually make 1 live-aboard trip each year to somewhere warm and tropical. Sadly my regular dive buddy of the last few years is having neck and back problems, and it’s not clear if he’ll ever be back in the water. So I’m looking for a buddy to dive with this year and if it works out, beyond that in years to come.
As I don’t get in too much diving with living in Europe (I’m from England, living & working in Holland) + family stuff, dive trip quality is more important to me than price - so I’ve been doing some good live-aboards in recent years with the Aggressor boats and one Explorer trip.
I was thinking about a Maldives live-aboard trip in 2009 - maybe with the Aggressor or Peter Hughes boat.
My dive style is medium-slow, so I have lots of time to look around at the marine life, hunt for some cool stuff, and take a few pictures - I have an underwater camera point-and-shoot, case and tray/arm/strobe, but I’m not a camera nut :)
I’ve done 238 dives and usually dive Nitrox.
