I am a 54 yr old male RN who lives in Schenectady, NY - and has done some cold water diving up here in NY and some diving in the Florida Keys / Marathon area - and loved it.

I have dove on/off since around 2002/2003 since getting my SSI OW certification followed by a PADI Nitrox cert as well.

I tend to prefer to dive with a DIR-style rig (backplate, 1 pc webbing harness, a wing, long primary reg hose with my backup reg hose on a necklace around my neck). Just like the ’simplicity’ of not having all the bulk and such of a jacket BCD around my torso.

I dive mostly just ’Recreational’ dives currently here in NY, USA. Looking to further my skills and perhaps do some deeper diving, eventually getting into Tri-Mix and Deco dives, and Wreck diving more.
