I’m a new diver. Have always wanted to do it. I love the water, so scuba diving is the perfect way for me to ease my natural curiosity of all things above and below water.

Have done mainly boat dives and discovered how sea sick I get, with or without meds. Though the sites I have seen underwater makes it all worth it. At the moment I’m discovering shore diving in and around Cape Town which has been great. Only not so great part about that is heavy kit that if I fall over there’s no getting up unless a crane is involved. Still love it none the less.

My pirate name is:
Mad Grace Flint
Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. Like the rock flint, you’re hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you’re easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

It’s been a long while since I was on the site, but could someone please point me in the direction of the survey’s/polls? Love those.

They are under the forum section, see the survey category. Also, if you like surveys you should also check out the scuba quizzes I recently added (link at top of site).

erm......could the recreactional dive table quiz please be revised to include meters? wouldn’t know a foot from a fart.
that_guy_nick - 4/02/2013 6:01 AM
3 ft is one meter. But I do so second the metric system.

Just edited my profile of diver back to "novice" sigh

The first step in recovery is admitting there is a problem (ie: not diving enough). The second step is to stop working, ingore responsibility and just go diving!

I wish Greg. That was the master plan this summer (which is starting now) however i’m now unable to as I’ve had to have minor surgeries on removal of stuff and more lie ahead. Gonna be a while again. A literal piece of me is in the US at the moment though. lol

good luck with everything! i hope the doctors eventually prescribe lots of relaxing diving.

Thanks. We’re holding fingers, thumbs, toes. ;)

So did enough people reply to the survey to answer your question?

It was a great question.

:) Thank you. I’ll have a quick visual inspection done when I go dive again, and if need be rent a reg while they service. You’d be amazed at how pricey it is to service equipment here. It works out to roughly $45 (R350)

I am really looking forward to getting it over and done with. It will be the first time since high school that I will be with out knee pain. Have you done much diving this year, I only did about 50 dives. May be next year will be be
