Being land locked in Charlotte, I try to get to the quarry’s here in Charlotte for practice. If you need a dive buddy in Charlotte, send me a note.

I have been to Cozumel twice. I normally dive Pompano BeachFL once a year at Xmas and always need a dive buddy. I am going to Dominican Republic the week after Xmas. 2009.

You’re having fun in Cabo and we’re drowning and freezing in NorCal! When you get back, let me know if you went with Manta Scuba or not and how the diving was.

thx,

Jody

Yea! This silly site is letting me reply now. So, we dove with Manta Divers on the pier in Cabo. The owner is Ricardo. It is a small operation, but very efficient and dive master Luis is great, too.

One day, we did the advanced Gordo Banks dive (130’) hoping for hammerheads. None showed up but we got in the middle of a tuna "tornado" (the small bonita variety) but there were 1000s circling us - it was amazing. Ricardo was our dive master for the dive and was perceptive enough to get out of the way and just float 20-30 feet above us and let us experience it. Very cool.

I have heard good things about Manta and I would recommend too. DO NOT use Tito Divers - was concerned about serious safety risks and they couldn’t figure out if 5 divers were in the boat they needed 10 tanks. WE had to tell them, they would have never noticed.

Have a great time - wish it were me. I will go to Cabo again and again - cheap and fast from CA.
