I think the greatest part of this photo was actually getting it (besides the experience). I tried to get a shot of the Manatee breaking the water surface and the burst of water as he cleared his nose. I didn’t account for the water displacement as the Manatee rose to the surface (with me very close to his point of ascent)...it moved me in the water making the shot difficult...this was the result of hitting the shutter button on the way back down (trying to hold the camera steady with my hands as my face and body went under the water). A long winded way to say "it was an accident, but I loved the results."
