There was no club for Myrtle Beach so I started one on April 2010. We are approaching the first anniversary of it in a few months. Thought I would see if there is any interest in celebrating with a dive trip. Dive trip is scheduled for April 30th. It will be a 1/2 day dive on Barracuda Alley with a BBQ social after at the dive shop Coastal Scuba. Burgers and buns to be provided. Feel free to message or call me (843) 424 - 1858 Ask for Dave. Members and non members welcome! Hope to see you there.

I will be in Myrtle Beach around May 1 and will stay all summer into the late fall, looking for a dive buddy that knows the area, I would like to learn how to spear fish etc. I have a boat so we can so offshore and explore the reefs etc.

Got my new all in one mask/camera/camcorder tested in pool today you can see it in action on my profile feel free to ask any questions you like. I will be testing in open water this sunday on the Sherman. Come if you’d like to get on film (CoastalScuba.com for dive site specifics).
Hope to see people there if they have nothing better to do The water is great right now and there has been a tiger shark there lately according to the mate I talked to today.

Dive went great 11 divers on the boat from ages 9 through dont ask. :} After the two dives we went back to coastal scuba where we had a BBQ cookout and swim in the pool. Water temp was 64- 68 degrees seas where at 3 feet at most, vis was kind of shifty ranging from 10 feet to 4 feet because we had just had a rain storm and our cities storm drains go into the ocean. Some great shell finds though including a helmet about 8 inches long rare for a 65 foot dive site. All in all it was a great time for the first dive of the season. Hope to see more dive buddies out there next time.
