Hi there. I am a new diver. I live here in Central Virginia. I am so bummed it is cold and I can’t dive now.

Brian:
I’m in CT and don’t have any plans to dive in AZ, but thanks for the invite.
Brian_V - 6/18/2021 1:14 AM
Yeah, I have no pans to dive in AZ either! San Carlos Mexico or Bonaire will be my next dive destination!

Hello, Brian.
Thank you for the invite.
If you ever want to dive on fresh water shipwrecks.
This is the place.
We have over 200 documented wrecks in our area.
Ranging from 2 meters to 100 meters in depth. With most in the recreational realm.
Because of our fresh and cooler waters, our wrecks have remained mostly intact.

Hi- My name is Mike Hainey; I work overseas and stay in the central Tennessee area when I’m in the states, it’s where both my daughters and grandkids are located. I’m in the process of organizing a dive trip to Bonaire with a bump plan to go to Cozumel (based on total pricing) in early to mid-May 2020. Including my girlfriend (who doesn’t dive & will only be snorkeling there), we have four of us so far.

I’ve sent feelers out to different dive centers and travel agencies to try to get the most competitive dive package prices available, and am still waiting for replies from most of them. There may be boat dives in the package- but I’ve been told by several friends that just doing shore dives down there is pretty cool ….. and a lot of dive centers I’ve looked at focus mostly on unlimited shore diving.

There is most certainly more information pending, as organizing these things is normally like herding cats. If you or anyone else you know- divers or nondivers- may be interested, please respond to me on here or via e-mail; my e-mail address is haineyD8971@yahoo.com . Hope to hear back from you & thanks!

Just a heads up, Bonaire is closed at least until June 15, 2020. They just announced that closer extention yesterday!
Cornbread2 - 5/18/2020 2:27 AM
Yep- am going to have to reschedule. Thx.

Taking a group to Cozumel in August... Cozumel has just reopened and prices are great.

Hi! Thank you for the request. I’m a total newbie! IDK if I will ever get out to Arizona, but maybe someday our paths will cross. Till then, happy bubbles!

Hey Brian, thanks for the Buddy request. If you get to the PNW look me up. Some interesting diving here in Puget Sound...but it’s cold. I get to Monterrey occassionally and Hawaii often as well. I enjoy diving with people with your type of credentials, always enjoyable and a learning experience!
ScubaSiren63 - 9/26/2018 12:16 AM
Hi Brian! Do you have interesting dive locations in AZ? I am up here in the middy mid west LOL

Brian_V - 9/27/2018 9:44 AM
Nope! I travel to do my diving. San Carlos Mexico is where I drive to dive. The Sea of Cortez is really nice to dive!

Hello Sr., i need some help. I’m new here in the US, i came from cuba 1 1/2 year ago and i was diving there for many years and i also have and open water for the CMAS, i want to start to dive here but i’m not sure about what certifications i need and if i need a dive insurance too. I have experience diving many times close to 45 mtrs and practicing spear fishing. The reason i don’t have higher level certifications is because in Cuba you don’t need it if you have your own dive equipment.
thank’s
Ezequiel

The best thing to do is to go into a local dive shop and talk to them, they’ll be able to explain what you need to do, plus they’ll be able to help you get set up to dive here in the US. Good luck and I hope to see you diving soon!
Constance - 7/14/2019 6:15 PM
Hola Ezquiel. Como esta? Lucky you, being able to dive in Cuba. The reefs are pristine there and protected, I hear. I was in Cuba in 2015 and loved the country and the people, but I went as a tourist. My advice to you is to visit a dive shop and get more information about certification. I live in the Northeast, and do some diving around here, but most recently dove in the USVI. Regards, Connie

Thanks for the buddy request. You’ve got some great photos. If your ever in Florida look me up!
Pilotman64 - 6/27/2017 11:45 PM
Great photos! I love Palau!!!! I have been diving there twice, as I lived in the Micronesian islands for about 7 years, so it was only about a 2 hour flight,, my other favorite was Cebu.
Impressive resume of sorts you have.
Brian_V - 6/28/2017 8:47 AM
I love Palau too, it was by far the best dive destination I’ve been to so far! The Blue Corner was my favorite spot there, but Olong Channel, German Channel, Siaz Tunnel, Pelileu Beach were also incredible! I hope to go back there some day!
Brian_V - 6/28/2017 8:51 AM
San Carlos Mexico is where I dive mostly now, I go there a couple times a year. It’s close enough to drive too and far enough to feel like you’re away from home! I’m going there in a couple weeks again!
mike2645 - 6/16/2017 12:46 PM
Thank you for the add Brian. Looks like we are almost neighbors.
ScubaTrucker - 3/27/2017 10:58 PM
Thanks for the request. Do you do any Tech Wreck diving?
Brian_V - 3/31/2017 9:13 AM
No, wrecks aren’t my thing. I’ve dove a few, but I’d rather see reefs!
Alam - 1/02/2017 6:25 AM
Thanks for the add Brian

Hi there,

Let me know if you’re ever diving Monterey. I can dive there on weekends.
