Very sad Divers Supply Tampa is closing Dec 24th 2013. )-: I have been going to this shop since I was certified 7 years ago. The staff has allways been honest and given great service and prices! I have visited every Dive shop in the area with varied experiences. But primarily did business with Divers Supply because I knew they would do there best to take care of me!

Divers Supply will be reopening at another location shortly after the new year. Fear not Doug, and I hear they are bringing in a whole new line of Camo just for you! :)

Diver supply is a small company and would require over 50 full time employees if the Tampa store stayed open. So to avoid the Obama fees and fines they are choosing to close the Tampa store.Got a good deal on an AL40, but didn’t see anything else that really caught my eye.

Divers Supply has a strong internet presence and a commitment to the customer. If they do not reopen locally, they are still not that far away!

too bad they couldn’t split the business. Or somehow sell some of the stores as a strictly controlled franchise, where the business was still controlled by the company but the paychecks went through someone elses bank account.

internet sales have put some dealers out of business in certain areas, but most try to compete, all we can do is just keep supporting your local.

Our government is putting the small businesses out of business! Government continues to make it more difficult for the little guy. The internet offers the opportunity to small businesses to reach more customers if they use it and give there customer’s personal better personal service non local big Companies cannot do. I believe in supporting your local shop when they provide good service and work to earn your business.
Divers Supply has used the internet for sales multiple stores Georgia and Florida small Business family owned. Our government is the destruction of the family buiseness! I have worked my own family buiseness all my lifetime. I hope we can change the current course of our destructive goverment and give back to our children the opertunity of the American dream!

Not just business, there was something on the news this morning that ObamaCare will bite volunteer fire departments too, they will now have to provide healthcare. Where is that money going to come from? Oh, another tax!

I went by there tonight and bought a wetsuit. Such a sad scene I didn’t even really want to talk to the folks working there who would soon be out of a job. They seemed nice and friendly, best I could tell.

It is sad that we have to have such a invasive government. It will soon put a lot of people out of business. Remember BTW, the government now dictates what kind of light bulbs you can buy as well. This is "Freedom"?
