There are several members in NJ area. If you don’t get a response on here, do a search for members in that area and send them a mssg to see if they may want to meet up. I know that not everyone checks the forums daily.

I’ve given up on NJ charters because it seems everyone else is just interested in finding dinner, not exploring.
I will be doing Shark River inlet to keep the gills wet but since I’m carrying a camera I make a poor divebuddy.
Now that the water is up to 60 I should get my tanks over to Clay for VIP’s and fresh fills :)

I have been wanting to get into doing some "local" diving, know I need to get more appropriate exposure protection as all my diving has been in water temperatures 70 degrees or warmer. We’re actually not far from each other (I’m in Hopatcong) we’re probably no more than 20 minutes...let me know a little more about details, I do know of a little know quarry in Randolph that is definitely dive-able (the dive shop Elite Divers used to use it for check out dives...then they moved and got a pool) so message me and we can work out potential dives. I work a different type of schedule (four, ten hour days...Wednesday through Saturday), so Sunday afternoons would probably work best for me (if you’re only good for weekends) otherwise I’m around Mondays and Tuesdays, which could be beautiful as we’d probably have sites to ourselves.

I’m going to try to get out over the holiday weekend for a dive or two. Will be diving the Sandy Hook Reef or Shrewsbury Rocks. I will be diving a couple of sticky spots that I blackfish in the fall.... want to see what is down there. It all depends on the weather what day I will be going. I have room for a couple of people if anyone is interested let me know. I keep my boat in Keyport NJ and it is about an hour ride to the dive site.

Just looked at NOAA. At the moment it’s looking like Saturday morning is the ticket.
We may do some sea bass fishing while were out there as well. I will let you know as soon as I have confirmed with my other friends.

I’m in Budd Lake and am looking to get going on diving this summer. I have rescue and about 50 dives but haven’t been able to get diving in about three years, with the exception of one trip to Dutch Springs. All my diving has been done in Thailand so I am looking to gain experience in off shore New Jersey diving. Would also be real interested in the Randolph quarry diving.
