Hi all. Anyone been to Cat Island Bahamas and have info on it? Is it worth the time and money for a couples getaway? How about Scuba Diving? Thanks!

yes! it’s my favorite getaway! i just spent two weeks there...i’m not into the whole tourist thing, and this island is really quiet with beautiful beaches. there are several resorts there, but i don’t know which ones are open at the moment bc i think some close for the month of september. i have spent a lot of time at fernandez bay village and the owners are absolutely wonderful. there is also sammy t’s but i’ve only been to eat there. within the next few months another will be opening up and the owner does a lot of diving. i went with him to look for good dive spots and we found some really great stuff. if you get a chance to go it is totally worth it! if you have any questions feel free to contact me by email. ashlyncockrell [ at ] yahoo.com
