I use Oceanic’s new version of Oceanlog. Up until recently it was buggy but the new version(2.2.5) seems to work well.

I do use the download adapter which makes creating logs on the laptop quick and easy.

Oceanlog prints out on either letter size or the smaller standard log size. I use the letter size and print both the general and detailed pages. It also prints a dives list page which is generally all I take with me when traveling and I keep a copy as a index page for my printed log.

Signatures on your logs are not needed as proof to verify anything and I just add my buddy’s name and info to the log for my own tracking. The software allows me to enter buddy contact and emergency info and once entered into the log it is just a click to add it to a individual dive log. Likewise for Instructor nad crew info.

Logging gear configs can be set up as groups and modified as needed for a individual dive log.

Dive type has a list that can be added to and just clicked on for individual dives.

Memos, highlights and pictures can be added as needed.

The software and dowload adapter also allows you to easily change settings on the diver computer using a PC.

Oceanic dive computers are highly reliable and Oceanic customer service supports their products extremely well. Now that the software works as it should IMHO it’s line of computers are the computer/software packages that sets the mark that others should be judged by.

I’ve used a Oceanic Veo 250. I presently own the VT3, Atom 1.0 and Atom 2.0. All great products.

Prior to the Oceanic I owned a Mares M2 w/ it’s IRIS download adapter and software. Althought I give high praise to the computer for function and features. I found the downloader to be problematic. The software package I’d give a mark of average.
