That’s very nice of you. I applaud your effort.
I read an article, however, that Susan G. Komen gets so many donations that they give their excess to Planned Parenthood. The amount quoted was substantial, something in the neighborhood of $750,000. I figure, if they can give that much money away to another organization, I don’t think they really need my donation. And since I prefer to choose where my donations go (instead of having someone else choose for me), I’ll choose one, or more, that really needs my money.
Again, I applaud your effort and your social conciousness. I just thought you should know that the funds you donate may not be used for what you intended. (And the article I read only referred to the Susan G. Komen foundation, not any other cancer research organization.)
