It depends on what hand you are, what you will be doing on the dive and the full scope of the dive. Example: Night dive you want a primary light and a backup. Deep dive hang a pony or stage cylinder. A penetration dive hang a reel. Photography hang a camera. I use a retractor for my plain GoPro. There are so many ways to clip off and or hang equipment depending on the dive. You need to dive that equipment even on dives where you don’t need it and practice grabbing and un-clipping and re-clipping to build that muscle memory.
