Blue Mystic Divers is at Cozumel, Mexico.
San Miguel de Cozumel, Mexico ·
We usually post to make you dream about diving, with beautiful pictures of reefs and marine life.

Today is a little special.
The last few months we have shown you varieties of healthy coral as well as sick ones.
We have been touch by that whitening syndrome on hard corals. And it’s getting faster than scientists have thought.
Therefore, the authorities and dive operators have decided to temporary close part of the beautiful Cozumel Marine Park for conservation reason.
In order to keep following and studying how they are affected, reefs from the well known Palancar, Columbia, the Cielo, Punta Sur are being closed from October 7th until further notice.
Monitoring will be done every month to check how the coral is recovering from our diving activities. Authorities said it will stay closed at least until January, when another meeting will be organised to make sure we are doing the right things in order to eventually re-open the access.
We are deeply sorry for those of you who wanted to visit those magnificent reefs while diving with us. But in the other end, we are deeply concerned and so we think it is a good thing to do while it is still time.

As a good news, all reefs north from palancar will be open, that means diving in cozumel is still possible and we are going to make the best out of it in a respect way.

We understand the inconvenience and we want to make sure you understand the reason.
Feel free to contact us for any request on your booking, we will be pending, trying to arrange every aspect of your dive vacation with us.

Drastic changes are for better future and healthier reef.
