Most definitely.
Personally, I rarely use air, limit usage to short >30 ft dives, 1/2 to 3/4ths of my tanks left filled with 32%, making them usable for about any dive where Nitrox is appropriate. As far as extra cost, consider what other expenses are connected to diving and it makes it not very relevant.
