I often get the same bubbling. My Family Dr. Dives with us quite often. She told me I was most likely forsing mucus and saliva through the eu tube and recomended sudafed (the real stuff) an hour before diving. She also said if it was persistant after a dive( does not go away in an hour or so to see a MD as I may have a ear infection. Hope this helps

My doctor said something like that too: That mucus was trapped and was forcing it into the eustachian tube, thus causing the bubbling sound in only one ear (my right). They gave me sinus rinsing stuff, I have to flush my nose out with each day, didn’t do much, but at least I was trying.
Also, those EAR DROPS (for swimmers etc.) with alcohol in it, work REALLY well, for any water logging after diving. I put 2 drops in each after diving and there is no trapped water, or gurgling sounds. Plus, I am sure it also does a nice job killing any trapped bacteria or creepy crawlies!
