Recommend the Marriott Renaissance Carambola resort. Sweet Bottom Dive Shop is on the premises and is very well equipped and staffed. Shore dives are just a few meters away, boat dives are available. Lots of sea life and very relaxing bungalows! Along with diving The Wall, 200 meters off the hotel’s sandy beach, also recommend doing the night dive at Fredricksted Pier if only for the anemones and seahorses! Food at the hotel can be pricey, but easy run in taxi to supermarket and bungalows all have small reefer and microwave. No need to take any equipment, can rent everything including a camera at Sweet Bottom. However, I always travel with my prescription mask, regulator, and dive computer. AT&T cell tower on the hotel grounds provides great reception, but other cell companies have more difficulty.
