On a related note. I have seen the factory supplied cord (that you might place around your wrist) part after a few dives and then drop the light when you are not paying attention. I learned a good tip from a fellow dive master. Replace the original cord with a (approximately) 18" piece of Para shoot cord (aka 550 cord) tied in a loop through a single-ender brass clip and knotted with a double figure eight knot. Then clip it to a D-ring. This way you don’t burden your wrist. Vary the length as you like to your preference (and gear streamlining). During a night dive, if you just drop it, it still hangs on you lighting up the area below. Just be careful to be high enough (neutrally buoyant) off the reef so that you don’t bang it or drag it over the delicate coral.
