From FtMyersTom: Important tip about the area in general, don’t let your parking meter run out, they ticket within 5 mins. I swear they have bat radar and sense the click when meter expires.
For Lauderdal-by-the-Sea arrive early and there is a parking lot on Commercial Ave at the pier so you don’t need to worry about the meter :) Enter south of the pier for a nice drift dive south.
