I agree with you guys that the profile picture shouldn’t have to be just a picture of the person, like how I have my scuba shark image. I found that a few years back and started using it for my profile pic all over the place because I think it looks cool and I love diving and sharks, and esp. when the two are combined. I think another option could be that if you don’t want to use a person picture for your profile image, then if you could add at least one picture of yourself in your photo section on your profile. Then others could still see what you look like if they are wondering. Plus, it’s nice to be able to put a face with the profile that way it makes it easier to match people up, like this weekend at Scuba Show. I’m sure there will be a lot of us around to meet.
