In the late 80’s , while stationed in Italy, we dove Largo De Garda. The Italians dumped 1000’s of pounds of munitions into the Glacier fed lake so the German’s couldn’t get to it during WWII. Use to see live mortar shells and boxes of ammo scattered along the wall. TNT crates were a bit unnerving :P . My dive buddy at the time found the remains of a Hungarian pistol.
