"Diving in the Galapagos Islands is an experience like no other"
Do not do this early in your diving career because I remember on the flight home thinking, How in the hell am I going to top that!
A week later I was in CZM and the DM took me on a long cross current swim to show me a lone sleeping nurse shark :( I’m jaded because a week earlier it wasn’t a good dive if we didn’t see 500 hammerheads on a single dive. We dove 4 or 5 times a day on the same site, Landslide, for days on end because it was a constant parade of hammerheads, Galapagos and silky sharks, rays, dolphins and on one surface interval we snorkeled with a humpback and her calf being escorted by dolphins, buzzed by sea lions and diving birds!
