OK,
So I had a similar dilemma. We were on a family vacation in Cancun, with all the family things to do I had limited time to get in a dive, and really wanted to dive Cozumel. Why did we go to Cancun? My wife won the vacation, yeah hard to take but like a good family man I went along.
The problem is most dive operators require you to schlep to a ferry, take the ferry to Cozumel and meet the dive boat there.
Long story short, I found Scorpio divers, who, intern sent their van for me to drive me to meet with Dive Balam in Playa. The boat took us to dive Cozumel.

You cannot go wrong booking with SCORPIO DIVERS.
THEY COULD NOT HAVE DONE MORE TO HELP ME!
They dive Cancun, the Cenotes and Cozumel
I would not miss out on a chance to dive Cozumel.
I don’t think that SCORPIO or Dive Balam will disappoint you.
The drifts in Cozumel are like flying.
