If you are in Cancun you can take the ferry across to Isla Meujeres, that is firs of a great little island just to hang out on, as well there is some cool snorkeling and diving there. There is an underwater art display there of sculptures and statues as well the island is known for Manta’s however I do not know the season on those, might be more summer.
