Again dive7mmwet, you generalize. None of my buddies are diving in drysuits. If we meet to dive at the springs on a cold or cloudy day at 10 am, rather than 8, it’s just us using our brains, not being weenies. Some of us would rather wake up at a leisurely pace, have breakfast at home, pack our gear in the a.m., and then drive to our dive site in relaxed fashion. We locals do not have to hurry in and out of the water to go have lunch somewhere.

With the highnoon sun best for Catfish, if you want to get photographs, then DON’T dive there at 8 during the winter months. Wait till noon. Now, if you want to dive Devil’s Den, and not be in a Cave environment, then dive there early. By 2:30 pm., the sun is gone and the swim throughs lack ambient light.
