That is nice to hear that the whale sharks can be interactive like that. I hope I get an experience like that! Do many places offer scuba diving with whale sharks like yours? It seems snorkeling is more popular or at least more available.

Holbox Mexico only allows snorkeling and has strict limits on how many snorkelers, usually 2 in the water with the shark until your legs or lungs gave out and then another two..
Utila Honduras was also snorkeling only but no apparent limit, just whoever could keep up. Remember I said you would be breathing hard! There is a chance in Utila that you might, might see one while on a dive.
