Some confusion here........the seamounts I mentioned are off of Loreto. My boat "MANTA" is home ported in Puerto Escondido just 17 miles south of Loreto, and this area is where the Seamounts are. Most all of mine are unknown to the Mexican divers, but I have lost two of them over the years to the Mexican fisherman and divers, and they were like a bomb went off....nothing left. Only a couple of Seamounts are around LA Bay, and they both are below 180 feet, so not worth the effort for such short bottom time.
