Hi Tricia,
I have never had a problem with the bubbles, I just kinda let them come to me, and don´t force the interaction, and it always seems to work just fine. In a lot of meetings with them, they are attracted to the sound of the bubbles, I think.
At one time I was diving this deeper mound so often, I put a mooring line made up of 1 inch polepro, and had it just 15 feet below the surface with an old headlamp from a car tied to it, so you had to know where it is in order to see it, then just dive down and hook my boat to it. I try not to give up any of my dive sites to the Mexican divers. Anyway one day I found while cleaning the line of slime, that a small baby whale shark was following me. She was only about 14 feet long and really wanted attention. She stayed for almost 40 minutes, and played with us. I hope you find one to interact with...they are very cool if you just give them a chance to get used to you, and DONT TOUCH THE TAIL..hee hee.
Enjoy the experience........... Hugs, Terry & Tigger
