You’ll be able to see plenty in Bonaire without going very deep.
May I ask why you are not getting nitrox certified? It’s a pretty quick and easy cert to get and the nitrox in Bonaire is really reasonable. I think I paid $80 for a week’s worth of nitrox and did at least 25 dives.
