Congrats on your upcoming class. I would definetly take my time in buying any gear right now. Complete the class, evaluate your goals, then begin the gear selection process. I also dive the Transpac and i love it because it is so versatile. Back mount, backmount double, side mount..it’s a BCD that can grow with you. There are others, but thats a good start. Computer, take your time and research them. There are tons of stuff on the market but by researching you can select what suits your type of diving. Enjoy your class.
