Pulmo is absolutely awesome. Since its designation as a National Park more than one decade ago no fishing is allowed there, and the recovery of the reef fauna is just incredible. The quantity and size of reef predators there resemble what the Sea of Cortez could have been before people arrived. The local dive shops provide fairly good service and the cabañas are just perfect to relax after a whole diving day. Finally, Pulmo may be the one and only place in the Sea of Cortez where you can dive and picture the mostly dissapeared Gulf Grouper -an endemic, gorgeous giant- schooling around the only coral reef in northwestern Mexico. No party around, so take your own beer & music. Enjoy!
