Has anyone dove in the Delaware Bay? I’m working on my 50 state list and want to plan a dive in the area there. Looking for recommendations...comments...

Not the Bay but many, many years ago did Delaware Water Gaps train wreck, did some drifts but the farther south you went the worse the viz got :(

I tried photographing a commercial diving buddy of mine working on the pilings of the old Fairless Steel pier and the viz was so bad we didn’t get any usable shots :(

There is a concrete wreck just outside of Cape May and it’s considered dangerous because of the rebar sticking out, you won’t see them til the surge impales you on them :(

There are plenty of dives in Pa., NJ and Delaware without doing the river.

When are you going to be in the area and beach or boat diving?
During late summer and fall a few of us dive Shark River’s back basin looking for seahorses. It’s a true muck dive, dark, limited viz but you might see more seahorses than on any Caribbean dive :)

That would be cool. They are supposed to be found in my area, but closest I’ve seen is RI. That would be a good fall trip...if I don’t forget between now and then!
