I’m planning on doing a 4 or 5 day liveaboard in Thailand the first week of december this year, Similan islands are a must, any recommendations? Price matters more than frills. Also looking for day trips from Pattaya and/or Phuket, maybe Koh-Chang.

I lived and worked in Pattaya, Thailand for a little bit. Have you been there before ? I also have friends in Phuket if you’re looking for a suggestion of who to dive with. How much do you want to spend on a live aboard ?

Hi Andy, I’ve been to Thailand, but not diving. The Dolphin Queen from port Khao Lak offers the "Similan Safari", a 5 day 4 night for $630. They also offer nitrox. Are they any good, or should I look elsewhere? I’m thinking there’s more than a few dive shops around Pattaya so any help narrowing the list would be great. Thanks Steve sbwdiver@gmail.com
