Planning a trip to Grand Cayman, anyone been recently? Have any suggestions. I am traveling alone, looking for buddies. I would like to do a fair amount of shore diving, where is the best location to find dive buddies on the island? Any tips are appreciated.

I was in Grand Cayman this last October.


Stayed at SUNSET HOUSE with SUNSET DIVERS op right there on the property!


Great divemasters, great small, personal hotel with fun bar at night. The staff was polite and friendly!


EXCELLENT shore diving steps from hotel WITH steps down into water! Small wreck there and awesome famous mermaid statue!


Also awesome camera rental store on property with world famous Cathy Church there as well!


October offered 82 degrees in the daytime and 84 at night! Scattered short showers, the rest of the time sunny and delicious!


Short 15 minute walk into town from hotel.


I went on the trip alone, so I know how that feels. But you will make friends in no time there!

Thanks so much!! I forgot about Cathy Church, I am an avid photographer and was told about her but had forgotten she whas in GC. I have been leaning towards Sunset House and you have helped me decide. I too dive alone, if you ever have time to hit the Keys or BonAire drop me a line.

got to echo dive girl 55 on the Sunset House. It is wendy and my favorite place on the island. Mike Pennington and the crew are great. Also a stay there gets you two tanks on the boat every morning. Try the Hole in the wall. Awesome visual on exit. Good luck have fun.
