The Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society Presents Its 22nd Annual Fundraiser: “Upper Midwest Scuba and Adventure Travel Show” (UMSAT) combines professional divers, shipwreck hunters, educators, and underwater photographers, videographers, and archaeologists in a fascinating day of unbelievable history and grand storytelling about shipwrecks in the Upper Great Lakes. Scuba Exhibits, Exciting speaker topics on diving, “Preserving our Shipwreck Discoveries Using 3D Photogrammetry” by Ken Merryman, “Bottled Goodbyes” by Ric Mixter, “Perspectives of a Midwest Cave Diver” by Underwater Archaeologist Tamara Thomsen, “Cayman Island Diving”, “Traveling During a Pandemic” by Katrina Colby, Kirk Brust’s Ship Models, and more. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat. April 2, $20 online, $25 at the door, Students $5.
The event will have experts available to answer questions about diving, classes on the latest technology, raffle prizes, and a silent auction.
